Mollie (AL) is a female possibly German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in Alabama, and estimated to be 18 months old at intake in February 2021. Our message is one teaching general animal care and welfare, population control through spay and neuter and disease control in the animal population via proper vaccinations. Our outreach and education efforts will take place on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, as well as in person in the community via community events, school assemblies and any place people may lawfully gather to exchange information and learn. We will go beyond just vet care and get these animals rehabilitated as needed using trainers and behaviorists to help overcome issues related to past trauma. It is our goal to focus on the rescue of these urgent animals and provide them immediately the routine, emergency or specialized medical care they need and deserve. Because the abuse, neglect, cruelty and medical cases cost shelters the most money and are the most urgent, they are often the first animals euthanized. We want to introduce these animals to the public and educate people that unwanted companion animals are not damaged goods or unworthy, but really can be great family pets. Our goal is to save abused & at risk dogs from kill shelters & provide vetting & loving homes. Since its inception, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has saved over 9,300 dogs. We exist solely on donations and rely primarily on fundraising to help animals in need. “Save a life by adopting instead of shopping” Rescue Dogs Rock is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2015. RDRNYC is a 501c3, volunteer & foster based rescue. We could not take this huge step without you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your ongoing support. Will you help us get our facility up and running? We have hired a general contractor & are very excited to get started with this huge undertaking. Our new rescue center will cost approximately $350,000 to get it where it needs to be and ready to open and start taking in dogs. We want it to be a comfortable oasis for these dogs who have already been through so much. We need bigger and more modern kennels & air conditioning to start. It really needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Now the real work comes in as the center is in disrepair and has nothing done to it in probably 30 years. This has been 3 years in the making, so we are very excited to have come this far. That is the good news and why we chose this particular property. The center sits on half an acre and allows indoor/outdoor kennels and has lots of outdoor space. This will allow us to save many more needy and deserving dogs. Our hearts are open, our passion is boundless and our journey is just beginning. As announced one short month ago, we have acquired our own rescue and rehabilitation center in Suffolk County on Long Island giving us our own home for our dogs in need. Our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs in need, depends largely on the active involvement of volunteers willing to add their talents to our team! We rely solely on donations from our loyal community of supporters. Real Dog Rescue is not funded by any governmental agencies. That ability depends entirely on the support of our community. We believe that wherever there is a need, we should help, so long as we have the ability and resources to do so. We also strive to educate and emulate the best animal welfare practices, not only in our own local community, but also nationally and worldwide. While our vision is to rescue every dog, because every dog matters, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the dogs in our care by providing safe shelter through loving foster homes, medical care by a superior veterinary staff, and behavioral training with the help of a talented volunteer base. Real Dog Rescue was built on the passion of long-time animal advocates and friends, dedicated to helping dogs in need, regardless of their age, breed, location or medical condition. Real Dog Rescue is grounded in the belief that every dog matters.
